Senior Speeches 11/27

Chloe H. ‘24 started the second set of senior speeches for the year. She spoke about the community she has found here. Chloe has been a member of the Academies’ community since she was three years old and is a third-generation Academy girl. She recalls her favorite traditions, such as hatching butterflies and chicks in Lower School, writing letters to penpals in Middle School, and Bacon Bat in Upper School. As she continues, she recognizes that she wants a community similar to Academy when she goes to college. Chloe thanked her teachers, especially Mr. Essery, her advisor, and Mrs. Poole. She also thanked Leni H. ‘26, her friends, and her parents.

Mina K. ‘24 began by telling stories about her family. She added in various misfortunes of family vacations and memories of her as a child, adding, “No matter how far away I am from my family, I can always think back to the memories they have helped me make over the years.” She wanted to thank her family for supporting her. Mina gave a special thanks to her mother for always being by her side, and continuing to be by her side as she moves on to the next chapter of her life.

To finish, Charlotte D. ‘24 discussed her signature, both literally and figuratively. She doesn’t have a distinct signature that is hers, nor does she have a signature activity. Since joining The Albany Academies freshman year, she has tried many clubs, sports, and activities, striving to make something hers. However, Charlotte has realized that she isn’t just one thing. There is no one thing to describe her - rather, she is a culmination of all the experiences she had.
